Catherine A. Brandt was born in Houston, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M University (1983) and South Texas College of Law (1986). Upon graduation she was associated with Geary, Stahl & Spencer in Dallas, Texas. In 1987, Cathy joined Gardere & Wynne in Dallas until 1991 when she joined Ronquillo & Dewolf. From 1992 until 1994 she was a research attorney for Justices Kinkeade, Burnett and Morris, Court of Appeals, Fifth District of Texas at Dallas. In 1994, Cathy decided to take a break from the practice of law to raise her two children. In 2003 she went to work for a non profit in the development office. In 2005, Cathy returned to the practice of law as an associate with Monning & Wynne.
Cathy has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; and U.S. District Court, Northern District of Texas. She is a member of the Dallas Bar Association and has served as a volunteer for the North Central Texas Legal Services where she received the Distinguished Pro Bono Volunteer award in 1989. She has also been a Board Member of the Montessori Training and Research Center of Dallas and a member of the Junior League of Dallas.
